Has a correction appeared?
According to press reports last week--and the press is often wrong, I know--U.S. Ambassador Thomas Schieffer had his first sit down meeting ever with Ozawa Ichirō on August 8, 2007.
Am I right in understanding this to mean that the Ambassador of the United States had not been able to schedule a meeting with the leader of Japan's largest opposition party until a year and 3 months after that leader's election?
If that is not putting all one's eggs in one basket, then nothing else could be.
