Good rule. It has saved me from a lot of grief, too.
In probably more pleasant other news in brief, the first sakura were seen blossoming here in town. From my house, i can see a faint haze of pink on the trees in the local schoolyard and koen.
Write the post anyway. Write it, sleep on it, read it again in the morning then hit delete.I wish I remembered the last part more often.
