Dr. Hama's Imaginarium Delirium

Yes, it is shooting fish in a barrel but no, Dr. Hama Noriko is not Japan's Paul Krugman.

She is...well-nigh incomprehensible.

With all due respect (you know what is coming) Hama has challenged Fujiwara Masahiko in terms of all out self-indugent industrial-strength weird.

Note to the Washington Post Group: however wonderful the analysis Daniel Gross provides in his own habitat, he was lost in Japan.

Tee hee. According to the Slate link there, Prof. H also has a "gift for phrasing", wonder if the poor sub-editor who had to go through her original agrees.

Thanks for fixing that link - I think. It reads more like a computer-generated editorial mashup than a real text. All the expected words and phrases are there, in approximately the right order, but there's no meaning behind them.
