Not Brain Dead, Just Brain Damaged

Janne Morén, a robotics and artificial intelligences expert, examines the thought machine that is the Liberal Democratic Party (sadly, for several of its members, the only thought machine they have) and discovers it exhibiting telltale symptoms of neurological disfunction in a particular region inside the noggin.

Just noting, in case it's not obvious from the post itself, that the idea should be taken with all the gravity and seriousness any random blog post on the net deserves.

I was mostly amused by the surface similarity of behaviour between LDP on one hand, and prefrontal patients being tested on the WCST on the other. So I took it up as a rhetorical crutch to consider the idea of an ossified, self-reinforced decision-making process as a partial explanation of the sometimes exceedingly strange behaviour of the party.

Herr Morén -

You have the correct attitude toward the absolute applicability of a metaphor.

By contrast, these guys

want to be taken seriously.

Consider yourself sane.
