But you are right: Nakada Hiroshi is almost -- but not quite -- entirely unlike former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.MTChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04626942240117432624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-59171952025858806532009-07-30T15:54:13.065+09:002009-07-30T15:54:13.065+09:00Given the surface parallels here, I can't help...Given the surface parallels here, I can't help but think of the contrast with a certain American governor...REMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02215791044072894869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-24403966677080729692009-07-29T21:13:09.155+09:002009-07-29T21:13:09.155+09:00Here's a nasty comment about wonder boy.

Osaka would be second or third, and Nagoya third or fourth.Jan Morenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06834641501438709866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-36740886003572020232009-07-29T11:35:13.223+09:002009-07-29T11:35:13.223+09:00Not that this really makes a difference to the sub...Not that this really makes a difference to the substance of the original post, but...

When you said "third largest city" I thought you were referring to Nagoya at first. I understand Nagoya is not technically the third largest city, but if you are being precise about it, isn't Yokohama the largest? Even if you were to put the 23 wards of Tokyo together, that still puts Yokohama in second place. How do you get third largest?Christophernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-54888320918739726552009-07-29T09:45:04.248+09:002009-07-29T09:45:04.248+09:00Perhaps a federated system with more power delegat...Perhaps a federated system with more power delegated to the regions is not actually impossible? Many of these next-generation people, like our bouncy governor Hashimoto, are pushing for it. It is a neat solution in a way: the central government and bureaucracy is failing the country, so make sure they have less of a say in the running of it.Jan Morenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06834641501438709866noreply@blogger.com
