However, Tokuda Takeshi ran and won as an LDP candidate last December. The LDP should not be allowed to just walk away from that.

As for credulous and craven mediaplex, you are right, we have to rely upon them for such facts as we may be permitted to learn.
MTChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04626942240117432624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-23115296105739926282013-12-21T15:03:55.015+09:002013-12-21T15:03:55.015+09:00Agree on many points here. Especially given Inose's background/career.Adam Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-45222555926875797762013-12-21T10:02:47.203+09:002013-12-21T10:02:47.203+09:00It would have been an even better post if you poin...It would have been an even better post if you pointed out that Tokuda Torao was only a member of the LDP very briefly, and after that was running almost constantly against them, partially because the Tokushukai was constantly at daggers with 日本医師会, a major backer of the LDP. It was only after his son took over that he became a member of the LDP, which is a major reason that the LDP can just wash their hands of both of them.
Of course, to follow such facts, you would have to read the credulous and craven Japanese media. As it hits the nail right on the head on the deception of the LDP (or the stupidity of the DPJ, for that matter).

As you have pointed out, for too long the Japanese people have been oblivious to the treachery and machinations of the LDP and their stooge media.

All the more reason that the ordinary Japanese folk (NOT the batshit insane Korean-bashing 2ch folk) deserve to know what is going on, it is no use that only us English-speaking readers learn about this travesty and shake our heads helplessly at how the LDP constantly gets away with it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-72111449718191982942013-12-20T07:25:53.582+09:002013-12-20T07:25:53.582+09:00Tokushukai story link is dead Tokushukai story link is dead Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-14339201827803227272013-12-19T19:17:26.431+09:002013-12-19T19:17:26.431+09:00I still find it strange that the LDP can come out ...I still find it strange that the LDP can come out relatively squeaky clean out of this Tokushukai money affair. As I understand it, that stuff goes pretty deep into the party. Or is ‘the media’ withholding some dirt for the new year? I’m not holding my breath though – I fear that the control over said ‘media’ by the LDP is even stronger than even cynical me would acknowledge.

PS - I suppose it is too much of a conspiracy theory to suspect some dirty LDP fingers behind that citizens group that filed the compliant… :not()? When the opposition representative insisted that the money could not have fit in the bag, that representative looked so idiotic by focusing on something so unimportant.Brian B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07884817412935778499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714063.post-24842623192382567482013-12-19T14:50:36.012+09:002013-12-19T14:50:36.012+09:00Thank you for this.
